This was a lot better than I expected, a whole lot better! The action was separated by a constant supply of comic relief. Nicolas cage has been on a terrible downward spiral with his movies lately, but I have stood by him knowing that the bad streak had to end sometime. His performance was just perfect in this one. Played the straight guy swimmingly.

When you see it take note however:
At the same time of day the sun will be in a different spot depending on what time of year it is. This REALLY bothered me... Serious logic flaw.

Thomas Edison never invented anything his entire fucking life!! He was a business man; he owned a company that invented all the things he took credit for. He bought his way into the history books and it pisses me off to no end to think that people still back that stupid bastard. (sorry, soft point for me)

The whole dead body clinging to something or doing something important thing doesn't make any sense, it never did, it never will. How the hell this concept got into the movies I will never know.

overall, great movie! I highly recommend it.
